“Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst, so you have a glass of water and think ‘oh right, that’s why I’m supposed to drink that?”

Waimāori is important to me because:
Waimāori sustains us and is within us. It gives life to my whanau, my whenua and myself. As kaitiaki we cannot exist independently of waimaori and should honour it and recognise it as the best drink for our hauora.
My favourite part about being in the Fizz Free Campaign team is:
Having the opportunity to kōrero with the community on our changing attitudes towards waimaori and artificially sweetened drinks. I’m excited to get our Fizz Free Whānau up and running by sharing our experiences along with the challenge, our knowledge and our successes!
